The ocean view main pool deck was renovated in recent years. The main pool is large enough for swimming laps, and there are lounge and gas BBQ areas.  Upgrades to the smaller “turtle” and “dolphin” pools and fitness center have also been completed.   Additional amenities include a hot tub, garage parking, BBQ’s at the pool areas, a front desk, and concierge.
The Maui Eldorado was originally developed in 1968/1969.  The community is made up of a dozen 2-story low-rise concrete buildings and has a total of 204 units, featuring studio, 1 bedroom and 2-bedroom layouts. The studio units are 570 SF, 1-bedrooms are 960 SF and the 2-bedrooms are 1,440 SF. Maui Eldorado units are 90% leasehold and 10% fee simple property (meaning each unit owner owns a 10% in the fee interest in the land). The rest of the fee interest in the land is owned by the Ralph L Hoyle Trust.  This unique type of ownership offers value for owners who enjoy this amazing location at a lower price compared to other fee simple Kaanapali properties. The Maui Eldorado front desk provides key card access, much like a hotel. Outrigger has a strong vacation rental program at Maui Eldorado with offices now located off-site. Owners have their choice of property management companies when it comes to renting their units.
